Recognizing and Diagnosing Premature Ejaculation ( PE )

Updated May 21, 2007 at 1:16 EST.

In the 61st volume of the International Journal of Clinical Practice published in June 2007, MT Rosenberg and R Sadovsky discuss the identification process and diagnosis of premature ejaculation ( PE ) . Many practitioners do not routinely screen for premature ejaculation ( PE ) and most men are reluctant to discuss sexual dysfunctions with their physicians. The condition is the most common sexual dysfunction reported in men, yet it remains one of the most difficult to diagnose.

Men with premature ejaculation ( PE ) report higher rates of dissatisfaction with sexual interactions and personal distress. In addition, many of the issues relating to premature ejaculation ( PE ) interfere into other aspects of their lives. Rosenberg and Sadovsky maintain that correct identification and diagnosis of premature ejaculation ( PE ), as well as other sexual dysfunctions, can bring more satisfaction to these men and their partners.
