On July 17, 2007 Johnson and Johnson executives discussed their 2nd quarter, 2007 earnings.
Louise Mehrotra, the Vice president of Investor Relations for Johnson & Johnson accompanied by Dominic Curuso, the Vice president of Finance and the Chief Financial Officer for the company reviewed their business results for the quarter.
Many financial analysts were also on call including Rick Wise from Bear sterns who questioned the timing of the submission of Dapoxetine in
Europe.
Dapoxetine is the leading drug being developed today to treat premature ejaculation ( PE ).
Wise asked Mehrotra if she was hopeful about submitting the drug before the end of
2007 in
Europe.
Mehrotra responed that Johnson & Johnson is still on schedule and plans to submit the drug to several selected European countries by the end of the year.
Europe is not the only continent where Dapoxetine
( Priligy TM ), is planning to be introduced.
Mehrotra also announced that Johnson & Johnson are also in discussions with US regulatory agencies in hopes of filing Dapoxetine there as well.
